Arousing the strength of great unity, creating consensus in the new era

The red thread throughout every revolutionary journey

The history of the VFF is associated with the history of the nation's revolutionary struggle. From the Anti-Emperor Alliance, the Indochinese Democratic Front, the Viet Minh Front, the Vietnam National Union to the VFF, although the name and organizational form have been adjusted to suit each period, the consistent ideology is still widespread solidarity among all patriotic Vietnamese people, taking the supreme interests of the nation and people and the legitimate rights of the people as a common point.

During the resistance war against the US for national salvation, the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the North mobilized all classes of people to emulate labor, production, combat and support the front lines; together with the National Liberation Front of South Vietnam and the Alliance of National, Democratic and Peace Forces of Vietnam, widely gathered all patriotic forces, contributing to the Great Victory of Spring 1975, completing the cause of liberating the South and reunifying the country. In the cause of renovation, building and protecting the Fatherland, the Vietnam Fatherland Front continues to promote the role of political alliances, voluntary unions of political organizations, socio-political organizations, social organizations and typical individuals in classes, classes, ethnicities, religions, and overseas Vietnamese. Through campaigns, patriotic emulation movements and activities to care for social security, the Vietnam Fatherland Front has contributed to arousing the spirit of self-management, community awareness, civic responsibility and creative resources in the people.

Representing the people must start from listening to the people

The VFF is the political basis of the people's government; responsible for gathering and promoting the strength of great national unity, implementing democracy, strengthening social consensus; representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of the people; implementing supervision and social criticism; participating in building the Party, the State and people-to-people diplomacy activities. This is both an important political and legal position and a great responsibility to the people.

Representing the people cannot just stop at receiving and summarizing opinions. The key is to be truly close to the people, understand the people, respect the people and have a mechanism to pursue to the end the legitimate issues that the people propose. Each opinion is reflected at the right address, each case is supervised to the results, each policy is refuted on a scientific and practical basis, all contributing to consolidating the people's trust in the Party, State and regime.

Caring for the practical benefits of workers

The working class and laborers are particularly important forces in the great national unity bloc.In the context of digital transformation, green transformation and economic restructuring, workers are facing both development opportunities and pressures on jobs, skills, income and social security.Therefore, promoting the role of the Trade Union organization and member organizations in the Front system must be closely linked to caring for life, protecting legitimate and lawful rights and improving the mastery capacity of workers.
The strength of solidarity is not formed from general appeals but must be nurtured by legitimate interests, fairness and trust.

Strong innovation to make the Front truly a common home

Promoting the 71-year tradition of building and growing, the Vietnam Fatherland Front needs to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction, towards the grassroots level and taking the satisfaction and trust of the people as a measure.

First of all, it is necessary to ensure the unity of will and action throughout the system, while respecting the legitimate differences between classes, classes, ethnic groups, religions and the Vietnamese community abroad.

Great Unity does not mean erasing all differences, but seeking and expanding similarities, together towards national and ethnic interests and a prosperous and happy life for the people.

Along with that, digital transformation must be considered an important method to expand social interaction and receive people's opinions faster.

71 is a glorious journey, but tradition is only truly meaningful when it is followed by innovative actions and specific results.

Faced with the requirement of rapid and sustainable development and firmly protecting the Fatherland, the VFF must continue to be the center of gathering people's hearts, a reliable bridge between the Party, the State and the people, a broad democratic forum and a core force in building the great national unity bloc.
