Meeting her in the unit's kitchen while harvesting clean bean sprouts - the model she built to become a delicious, safe and hygienic dish for food in the meal tray of the staff and students. Ms. Nguyen Thi Diu said that in the context of limited land funds, the on-site increase model "Making clean bean sprouts" has contributed to improving meals for soldiers, while helping union and association organizations have more funds to organize activities.

Perhaps this was a rare moment of relief for Ms. Diu. According to the kitchen staff, they rarely saw her resting. As the direct kitchen manager of the Battalion, as a member of the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union and President of the grassroots Women's Union, her professional work and union activities seemed to occupy her entire day's budget.

We started the conversation with the question: "Have you been really brave enough to take on so many positions?" She laughed and replied: "You don't have "courage" in what you do, it's just that when you put your heart into performing assigned tasks, the work goes smoothly."

After that, she read to us one of the ten oaths of the soldier:

"Absolutely comply with orders from superiors. When assigning any task, I am dedicated, resourceful, and perform it quickly and accurately.

The military oath seems to have been deeply imprinted in Ms. Diu's heart, becoming a guiding principle that helped her achieve many outstanding achievements in her work. As a daughter of Hung Yen, a land rich in revolutionary traditions, she admired the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers since childhood.

Born into a poor family, the opportunity came to her when she was recruited as a staff member at the Political Officer School. Wearing the military uniform blue is a lifelong dream, and when that dream comes true, she always cherishes every moment. However, few people know that she went through a challenging period to adapt to her new job and environment.

Her husband is also a soldier, has two young children, and lives far away from home, while military work requires high intensity. As a female soldier on the logistics front, she is also a strong supporter for her husband to confidently carry out his duties.

She confided that at first, at work, her life was extremely chaotic because her husband was often away from home, and she had two young children to take care of. In that situation, the support from brothers and sisters in the union became an important support. They often encourage and share difficulties with her and her family. Through union activities, she had the opportunity to express her wishes and receive valuable guidance from her colleagues to both complete her organization and take care of her family. Each person took on work to help her leave early and leave late, so she had more time to take care of her small family.

Not only is the union a spiritual support, it also helps her improve her professional skills and improve her skills. Thanks to that, her productivity and work quality are increasingly improved. Thinking about that difficult time, she smiled: "It is true that the union bracelet appeared in time, helping me fulfill my responsibilities in all positions, both as a soldier, a soldier's wife, and the mother of my children."

Currently, as a union cadre and a compassionate woman, Ms. Diu always accompanies the organization of the Youth Union and the association to spread the spirit of sharing and help union members and members in difficult circumstances.

When she learned that Captain Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet, a union member, suffered from thyroid cancer while her child was still young, her husband worked far away, and her biological mother had passed away, Ms. Diu proactively advised Party committees and commanders at all levels to mobilize support for comrade Nguyet both materially and spiritually.

In her daily work, she always sets an example, helping comrade Nguyet with difficult and arduous tasks, creating conditions for Nguyet to have time to treat her illness and take care of her family. Sharing with us, Captain Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet emotionally said:

"Thanks to the attention of Party committees, commanders at all levels, Trade Union organizations, Women's Unions, especially the dedicated help of Ms. Diu, I have overcome the most difficult times. I am always grateful and use that as motivation to rise up, overcome difficulties in work and life.

Not only supporting the case of comrade Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet, Ms. Diu also regularly asks questions and honestly shares with other union members and association members. She always listens and learn about people's difficulties to promptly report and propose to the organization, ensuring legitimate rights for workers.

With a sense of responsibility and sincere concern, she has contributed to affirming the role of the Trade Union organization as a reliable and solid support - where union members and association members can feel confident and hopeful in the most difficult times.

Taking care of every piece of food for teammates

In her professional work, Captain Nguyen Thi Diu is always highly appreciated by her colleagues and superiors for her enthusiasm, creativity and sense of responsibility. As an active female cadre, Ms. Diu is not afraid to think big, dares to do, dares to take responsibility and is willing to face difficulties, even sacrifice for the common good.

Recently, to celebrate the school's Emulation and Decision Festival, she advised and successfully organized the emphatic emphasis emulation campaign called " models' Working Week" in the Trade Union and the Women's Union.

The emulation campaign "Sked work week" advised and organized by QNCN Captain Nguyen Thi Diu is built on the motto of "1 expertise, 3 models".

The success of the emulation campaign not only creates motivation for cadres and union members to enthusiastically carry out their tasks but also contributes to the glorification of the Victory Emulation Movement of the Battalion and the School.

Previously, Ms. Diu proposed and successfully implemented the model of "S mutual cookery", which caused a stir in the trade union organization and women's association. This model not only improves the quality of meals for soldiers but also receives positive feedback from the forces being served. She always keeps in mind: "A clean house is cool, a clean bowl of rice is delicious. Ensuring food hygiene and safety is a prerequisite in all processing steps.

In addition to focusing on cleaning, she also focuses on making delicious, beautiful meals, ensuring that soldiers eat their full portions to be healthy enough to perform their duties. Although she is usually gentle, she is very strict in her work of criticism and self-criticism, ready to remind individuals who do not ensure professional duties.

During the days of super typhoon Yagi and the circulation devastating the North, the image of Ms. Diu preparing breakfast for the army at more than 1 am in a state of power outage and everything was difficult made everyone emotional. She shared: "Today it was raining heavily, I had to go in early to see if the snail stove could be on firewood. Although it is difficult, we cannot let the army have delayed meals or meals that are not guaranteed.

Her small figure, in the midst of increasingly heavy rain, is repairing the boiler with pure acted upon, reminiscent of her technical innovation initiative. Her improved design of the steamer to help the rice cook quickly, limit drying and breaking the grains has been recognized, highly appreciated and widely applied by all levels.

It is the dedication, creativity and constant innovation in work that affirms the role and deep mark of QNCN Captain Nguyen Thi Diu - an exemplary union officer, a dedicated woman, for the common good.

Not only good at her expertise, QNCN Captain Nguyen Thi Diu also stands out in her movement activities. As an excellent volleyball player of the Women's Union, she has repeatedly represented the unit to compete in the Sports Festival seasons. Not only stopping at sports, she is also a talented "director" and "actress" in dance, regularly coordinating with the Youth Union of the unit and Women's Unions of Ve An ward, Hiep Linh ward (Bac Ninh city) to organize cultural and artistic programs.

With outstanding results in her work, Captain Nguyen Thi Diu has been recognized with many noble awards, including: Commemorative Medal "For the cause of building the Trade Union organization" of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Trade Union (2023); title of "Outstanding and excellent Women's Union officer" and Certificate of Merit of the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army; title of Emulation Fighter at the grassroots level in 2017, 2020; title of Advanced Soldier in 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023; many consecutive years being awarded the title of Outstanding Trade Union Union Member.
