Professional training for cadres in charge of Women's work in the Northern provinces and sectors

The conference was attended by Vice Presidents in charge of Women's work; Heads of the Committee, Deputy Heads of the Women's Work Committee and officials in charge of Women's work of the Labor Federations of provinces, cities, and the Central Industry sector; and Vice Presidents in charge of Women's work of the Trade Union at the grassroots level of a number of Labor Federations of provinces and cities in the North with a large number of female workers.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Comrade Do Hong Van - Member of the Presidium, Head of the Women's Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor emphasized: Women's work of the Trade Union plays a particularly important role in the Trade Union organization, which is demonstrated through the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union always devoting a separate chapter to women's work; for the resolutions of the congresses, there is at least 1 quota and solution on women's work.

Improving the quality of Trade Union work in general and Womens work in particular is an inevitable requirement of trade union activities in the current period, contributing to building a foundation to effectively implement the innovation of the content and methods of operation of the Trade Union organization, meeting the requirements of union members and workers in the period of international integration, affirmed the Head of the Womens Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Accordingly, the Women's Work Training Conference held from November 4 to 5 is to concretize the contents of the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on Women's work activities; women's work skills; guidance on implementing the emulation movement "Good at public work, good at housework" in the new situation; new regulations on thematic rewards; regimes and policies for female workers; dialogue skills to represent, care for, and protect legitimate rights and interests of female workers; population work, family work, children and deploy models of caring for female workers; share practical activities, models, and good experiences in Women's work at the unit...

According to comrade Do Hong Van, the contents of the choice to implement the training for 2 days (4 - 5/11) are based on the practical situation of women's work and current new regulations as well as the difficulties and problems in the past of the Trade Union at all levels.

The leaders of the Women's Union of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor suggested that from the knowledge gained at this training conference, women's union officials will study and apply it to the daily work of agencies and units to do a good job of advising the Standing Committees of the Labor Confederations of provinces, cities, and industry unions on women's work, contributing to affirming the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the new period.

This is the second Women's Union training conference organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor in 2024. Previously, during the 2 days (October 30 - 31), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor organized a professional training course with similar content for cadres working in the Women's Union of the Southern provinces and sectors.
