Vietnam Electricity Trade Union equips knowledge about policies and regimes for female workers

The Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized the deployment of women's work tasks and professional training in 2026 to more than 200 delegates who are trade union presidents/vice presidents, and women's work officials at units.

Attending were Mr. and Mrs.: Do Duc Hung - Member of the Executive Committee of the VGCL, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union and Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union: Nguyen Kim Thanh, Dinh Thi Thanh Binh.

Reality shows that in recent years, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union has coordinated professionally to do a good job of caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, organizing the implementation of the Democracy Regulation, proactively preventing and controlling dangerous factors in the workplace to limit work accidents and occupational diseases...

In addition, the two sides also coordinated to organize emulation movements among workers, civil servants and laborers to practically celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress; concretizing the program, tasks, and targets of the Resolutions of Trade Union Congresses at all levels and the Resolutions of the 7th Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Congress into Women's Affairs in accordance with the situation of Vietnam Electricity Group and the unit.

Some outstanding activities include summarizing 15 years of implementing Resolution No. 6b/NQ-BCH TLĐ on mobilizing female workers, civil servants and laborers and 15 years of implementing Directive No. 03/CT-TLĐ on the emulation movement "Good at work, good at home"; organizing a Conference to commend typical families of workers, civil servants and laborers at the Vietnam Electricity Group level to celebrate Vietnamese Family Day and implement the 2026 Labor Code.

Speaking about the deployment of women's work tasks and professional training in 2026, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Do Duc Hung emphasized: For women's work at all levels, 2026 is also a pivotal year for many important Resolutions, Directives and Strategies such as continuing to implement the direction of the Party and State of the General Confederation on continuing to promote the work of mobilizing female workers, civil servants and laborers and the emulation movement "good at state affairs, good at housework" among female workers, civil servants and laborers; implementing the Secretariat Directive on "Building families in the period of accelerating industrialization and modernization of the country"; deploying gender equality, population, family and children every year...

To make trade union women's work effective, Ms. Tran Thu Phuong - Deputy Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor exchanged with delegates about the main contents related to the professional work of women's workers; organizing emulation movements among female workers and civil servants; equipping knowledge about policies for female workers. This is the basis for improving knowledge and skills in trade union women's work for officials of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.

Also on this occasion, Ms. Nguyen Kim Thanh - Vice President of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union exchanged and shared about the women's work activities that have been and will be implemented in 2026. Among them, many meaningful activities are organized to encourage and motivate female workers, mobilize female officials and employees to improve their professional qualifications; activities to care for families of female officials and employees are promoted; besides, the coordination with the Committee for the Advancement of Women at the same level in units has achieved good results. These practical activities have been recognized and positively responded to by officials and employees at units.
