Ready for the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026
Quang Ninh - Preparations for the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026 on the morning of April 24 have been basically completed.
This afternoon (April 23), Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Ngo Duy Hieu and Vice Chairman of Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Hanh attended the general rehearsal of the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2026 at Quang Ninh Provincial Planning, Fair and Exhibition Palace (Ha Long ward).
The event was organized by the Central Steering Committee for Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in coordination with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and Quang Ninh Provincial People's Committee.
The Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health 2026 has the theme: "Innovating management and improving the efficiency of occupational safety and health work in the digital age".
During the Action Month, activities will take place nationwide such as: dialogues between national and provincial councils on OSH; visiting victims of occupational accidents and diseases; organizing inspection and self-inspection activities at enterprises and labor-using establishments; organizing OSH service activities; strengthening information and propaganda activities on OSH; disseminating good models and initiatives to improve working conditions; implementing activities to care for and examine workers' health; reviewing and developing safe working procedures and measures at enterprises...
Workers' Month was agreed upon by the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee to be organized nationwide from 2012 according to Conclusion Notice No. 77-TB/TW, showing the Party's deep concern for the working class, thereby affirming the role and position of the working class in the cause of building and protecting the Fatherland.
Over 13 years of implementation, Workers' Month has constantly innovated in content, been flexible in organization methods, increasingly going deeper, creating widespread spread; truly becoming an activity imbued with the imprint of the Trade Union organization in caring for life, protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time showing responsibility and gratitude to the direct production labor force, contributing to the socio-economic development of the country.
With the theme: "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity", Workers' Month 2026 continues to be implemented synchronously and widely in trade union levels with many meaningful activities, such as: "May Dialogue"; Forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era"; "Labor Skills - Sustainable Employment" Day; Peak Month for developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, introducing outstanding trade union members for Party fostering and admission...
