Many effective models and ways to care for union members and workers in Vinh Long

On July 16, at Con Phung Tourism Service Trading Co., Ltd. (Phu Tuc commune), the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation (LĐLĐ) organized a conference to summarize the activities of Vinh Long Trade Union in the first 6 months of 2026; preliminary review of 5 years of implementing Action Program No. 02 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to implement Resolution No. 02-NQ/TW of the Politburo.

The conference was organized in a direct combined online format with the participation of Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee; Ms. Nguyen Thi Be Muoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of departments, agencies, and sectors.

At the conference, delegates watched a report reflecting the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2026 and listened to 8 presentations from grassroots trade unions and specialized units, sharing many effective models and ways of caring for union members and workers, building a culture of occupational safety and improving the quality of trade union activities.

Speaking to direct, Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai acknowledged and praised the results achieved by Vinh Long Provincial Trade Union levels in the first 6 months of the year; and highly appreciated the proactiveness and creativity in implementing emulation movements and programs to care for union members and workers.

Mr. Kim Ngoc Thai emphasized that building a strong worker contingent and trade union organization is the responsibility of the entire political system. Party committees, authorities, Fatherland Front, socio-political organizations and the business community need to continue to accompany and create conditions for the Trade Union organization to strongly innovate, well perform the role of representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.

Provincial leaders also expressed their belief that the team of trade union officials, union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and innovation, complete the goals and tasks of 2026, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization and contributing to the sustainable development of Vinh Long province.

On this occasion, Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation received the Government's Emulation Flag for outstanding achievements leading the emulation movement in 2025 of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also awarded the Emulation Flag to the grassroots Trade Union of Ty Bach Co., Ltd.; awarded Certificates of Merit to 4 collectives and 31 individuals with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement for good labor, building a strong trade union organization in 2025.

The Executive Committee of Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to 14 collectives and 27 individuals with outstanding achievements in organizing Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026.
