Lao Cai Ward Trade Union brings health care closer to workers
Lao Cai - The free health check-up program organized by the trade union has spread the spirit of practical care during Workers' Month 2026.
On May 17, Lao Cai Ward Trade Union coordinated with Medlatec Vietnam Company - Lao Cai Branch to organize the "Health screening and counseling" program for union members and workers under the management of the Ward Trade Union.
Attending the program were Mr. Vu Cao Minh - Standing Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation; Ms. Tran Thi Nguyet - Vice Chairman of Lao Cai Ward People's Council and 120 union members and workers.
At the program, union members and workers underwent basic screening tests, health consultations and supported in assessing the risk of some common diseases.
The total cost of implementing the program is estimated at about 50 million VND, which is supported free of charge for participating workers.
According to the Lao Cai Ward Trade Union, the activity aims to practically care for the lives and health of union members and workers; and at the same time contribute to raising awareness about periodic health check-ups, disease prevention, and ensuring labor safety during work.
