Quick announcement on the results of the 14th Party Congress

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central mass organizations, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - chaired the conference.

At the conference, Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - quickly announced the results of the 14th National Party Congress.

The 14th National Party Congress will be held from January 19 to January 23, 2026, in Hanoi Capital, in which the Congress will hold a preparatory session on January 19, 2026, officially opening on January 20, 2026. This is a particularly important political event of the entire Party, entire people, and entire army; it is a milestone opening up a new stage of development for the country in the new context, situation and goals; it is a Congress of strategic autonomy, self-reliance, self-strengthening, national pride, aspiration to rise up, and steadfast belief in the path that the Party, Uncle Ho and our people have chosen.

The 14th Congress takes place at a historical time of profound significance: The entire Party, the entire people, and the entire army are united, unified, determined to firmly implement the two strategic goals: 100 years of the country under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam (1930 - 2030) and 100 years of the founding of the Democratic Republic of Vietnam, now the Socialist Republic of Vietnam (1945 - 2045). From there, the requirement is set: Must look straight at the truth, assess the situation correctly; must be determined to innovate thinking, improve institutions, improve national governance capacity; must act strongly, decisively, breakthroughly, effectively, for a Vietnam of peace, independence, democracy, prosperity, prosperity, civilization, happiness, firmly moving towards socialism.

After 5 working days, with the spirit of working seriously, responsibly, scientifically, promoting the highest level of collective wisdom, democracy, and innovation, the 14th National Party Congress was a great success.

The Congress established "launch pad" decisions to successfully implement the country's two 100-year strategic goals.

On the basis of major orientations, the Congress identified the period 2026 - 2030 as focusing on creating strong breakthroughs in 3 decisive areas, including: breakthroughs in institutions and implementation; breakthroughs in high-quality human resources associated with science, technology, innovation; breakthroughs in synchronous and modern infrastructure.

The consistent ideology of the Document and also the source of strength of the Vietnamese revolution is: "The people are the root", the people are the center, the subject, the goal and the driving force of development. All guidelines and policies must aim to improve the material and spiritual life of the people; ensure the people's right to mastery; respect, listen to and rely on the people. In the new period, it is even more necessary to care about building the people's hearts battleground...

Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu also informed about some contents of Directive No. 01-CT/TW dated January 23, 2026 of the Politburo on researching, studying, thoroughly grasping, propagating and implementing the Resolution of the 14th National Party Congress; informed about some contents of Directive No. 58 of the Secretariat dated January 10, 2026 on strengthening the Party's leadership over propaganda, political, ideological, and legal education for workers in the new situation.

Taking care of Tet for workers at the grassroots level cannot be delayed

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Fatherland Front, Central Agencies, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said that the quick announcement conference was organized so that delegates could see the atmosphere of the Congress as well as the demands of Party and State leaders for all cadres, civil servants and people to focus on striving in the new era, especially in the 5-year plan (2026-2031).

The President of the VGCL said that the 14th National Congress of the Party is the first congress where the action program is immediately promulgated and discussed in the hall; the atmosphere of solidarity, consensus, and determination throughout the Party is shown through the results of the congress.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang requested delegates to immediately deploy in work, focusing on taking care of Tet for union members and workers - the first Tet implemented according to the new organizational model. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang requested to focus on directing Tet care in all localities.

The President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour said that he is currently aware that some provinces have not organized Tet celebration activities for workers at the grassroots level. Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang requested to re-examine this information and emphasized that this year, the policy of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour is to focus on Tet for union members and workers at the grassroots level, so that union members and workers can see the role of the trade union organization in the new context.

Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang requested to inspect and urge the care of Tet for union members and workers at the grassroots level, which cannot be delayed.
