Head of commune police is a member of the commune-level People's Committee
The number of Commune-level People's Committee members does not exceed 5 people, including the commune police chief.
Hanoi City People's Council has just passed a Resolution Regulating the number, establishment, reorganization, dissolution of specialized agencies, other administrative organizations; the number and structure of City People's Committee members, Commune-level People's Committee members under the management scope of the city (implementing point b, point d, clause 1, Article 7 of the Capital Law No. 02/2026/QH16).
The Resolution stipulates the number of administrative organizations under the city's management.
Accordingly, the number of specialized agencies under the City People's Committee does not exceed 18 units; the number of other administrative organizations under the City People's Committee does not exceed 3 units.
The City People's Council decides on the establishment, reorganization, dissolution, renaming, and adjustment of the functions of administrative organizations to implement the arrangement of the organizational structure and development requirements of the city.
The number of specialized agencies under the commune-level People's Committee does not exceed 5 units. The number of other administrative organizations under the commune-level People's Committee does not exceed 2 units.
The Commune People's Council decides on the establishment, reorganization, and dissolution of administrative organizations to implement the arrangement of the organizational structure and development requirements of the locality.
The Resolution also stipulates the number and structure of members of the City People's Committee.
Accordingly, the Member of the City People's Committee has no more than 6 members, including: Heads of specialized agencies under the City People's Committee advising on the fields of Office, Finance, Home Affairs, Justice; Commander of the Hanoi Capital High Command; Director of Hanoi City Police.
Members of the Commune-level People's Committee have no more than 5 members, including: Heads of specialized agencies under the Commune-level People's Committee advising on the fields of Office, Finance, and Internal Affairs; Commanders of the Commune-level Military Command; Heads of Commune-level Police.
