What information do consumers have access to about products and goods from July 2026?

Article 7 of Circular 31/2026/TT-BCT of the Ministry of Industry and Trade stipulates the traceability of products and goods under the management of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (effective from July 1, 2026) stipulates the right of consumers to access information as follows:

1. Consumers are allowed to look up and access basic information about products and goods for free through the Traceability System of goods of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, including:

a) Name of product, goods;

b) Origin of products and goods;

c) Images of products and goods;

d) Name of production and business unit;

d) Address of production and business unit;

e) Brand, trademark, batch/batch number or serial number of the product, goods (if any);

g) Expiration date of the product, goods (if any).

2. Consumers have the right to reflect on the authenticity of information displayed on the system to the Ministry of Industry and Trade or competent authorities in accordance with the law on protection of consumer rights.

Thus, from July 2026, consumers can look up and access basic information about products and goods for free according to the above regulations.
