Overnight installation of 15 60-ton bulk boats at Bach Dang Wharf in Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - 15 cannons weighing about 60 tons towed from Dong Nai to Bach Dang Wharf (District 1) late on April 6, preparing to serve the 50th anniversary of the country's reunification.
On the night of April 6, 15 box trucks towed artillery guns from Brigade 96 (Artillery Corps) in Long Thanh District (Dong Nai) to Ho Chi Minh City.
With a route of about 40 km, the convoy passes through Long Thanh - Dau Giay Expressway, Mai Chi Tho Avenue, Thu Thiem Bridge, Ton Duc Thang Street and Ben Bach Dang.
According to Lao Dong at around 11:30 p.m. on April 6, the fireworks display was moved to Ben Bach Dang (District 1). Immediately afterwards, the military force promptly deployed the installation of artillery pieces at the planned locations.
To prepare for this important event, 15 cannons were placed shortly on the red carpet along the Saigon River, creating a solemn and historically meaningful scene. The use of the red carpet not only increases aesthetics but also shows respect for the important historical milestone of the nation.
Currently, the area where the artillery was launched has been fenced off and strictly controlled by the authorities, ensuring absolute security for final preparations. Technical safety work is also being carried out in parallel. There were about 80 soldiers on duty to serve the artillery battlefield at Ben Bach Dang.
During the fireworks display, 5 routes will ban vehicles from 9:00 p.m. to 0:00 a.m. or 3:00 a.m. the following day, starting from April 7 to April 26. On April 27 and 30, the route will limit vehicles during the day.
According to the announced plan, the 50th anniversary of the liberation of the South, the reunification of the country will take place with many meaningful activities, in which the highlight is the ritual of firing 21 cannons on the Vietnamese Thieu national country, along with the parade, large -scale parade with about 13,000 participants and the presence of modern aircraft of air force.
