New Hai Phong Party Secretary commits that every decision puts common interests first

On April 10, Hai Phong City Party Committee held a conference to announce the Politburo's Decision on personnel work. According to Decision No. 136-QDNS/TW, dated April 9, 2026 of the Politburo: Approving Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee - to hold the position of Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee for the term 2025 - 2030; appointing him to participate in the Party Committee of Military Region 3.

Speaking to receive the assignment, Mr. Le Ngoc Chau - the new Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee - thanked the Politburo and the Secretariat for always caring for and giving special affection to the Party Committee, government and people of Hai Phong city, and trusting to assign tasks in the new position. At the same time, he thanked the comrades in the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, and all cadres, party members and people of the city for always trusting, accompanying, supporting, and creating conditions to complete tasks in the past time.

The new Secretary of the City Party Committee also thanked Comrade Le Tien Chau, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, former Secretary of the Hai Phong City Party Committee and generations of leaders of Hai Phong city and Hai Duong province through various periods for their efforts in building, nurturing, and creating a solid foundation for Hai Phong to develop breakthroughly and strongly in the past time and to be a driving force, an endogenous strength for the city to continue to develop in the coming time.

In his new position, Secretary of the City Party Committee Le Ngoc Chau committed to always maintaining political bravery; absolute loyalty to the Party, the Fatherland and the people; continue to be humble, study and train to best complete assigned tasks; maintain and promote the spirit of solidarity and unity throughout the Party Committee and the city's political system.

Along with that, strictly comply with the charter, regulations, organizational principles and activities of the Party, especially the "principle of democratic centralism"; promote collective wisdom, promote the responsibility of heads. Each decision, each policy must put common interests first and foremost; be carefully and thoroughly considered and seriously and thoroughly implemented.

The Secretary of the City Party Committee said that it will focus on building a truly streamlined, strong, effective, and efficient Party Committee and political system; the focus is on building a contingent of cadres and civil servants, especially leaders at all levels, with a spirit of solidarity, truly typical in intelligence and bravery; having keen thinking, high organizational discipline awareness, respecting honor; having a desire to contribute, daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility; having the will to overcome difficulties and excellently complete assigned tasks. At the same time, tighten administrative discipline and order; promote decentralization and delegation of power associated with strengthening inspection, supervision and control of power; improve the leadership capacity and combat strength of Party committees, Party organizations and party members; take the happiness and satisfaction of the people as a measure of the operational efficiency of the entire political system.

Mr. Le Ngoc Chau also affirmed that he will persistently implement the action motto "Say and do, do immediately, do right, do drastically, do to the end, do effectively" in accordance with the spirit of the direction of General Secretary and President To Lam; focus on seriously implementing the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress, important Resolutions of the Central Government and the Resolution of the 1st City Party Congress, term 2025-2030.

The city pays attention to developing the fields of culture, health, education, and social security in the spirit of Resolutions No. 71, 72 and 80 of the Politburo; effectively implementing hunger eradication and poverty reduction, taking care of policy families, people with meritorious services, and vulnerable people; and effectively implementing 11 socialist models associated with socialist people in Hai Phong city in the period 2026 - 2030 and the following years so that every city resident can enjoy the fruits of development, and their material and spiritual life is increasingly improved according to the motto "no one is left behind".
