Promoting the rank of police captain for the sacrifice
Hau Giang - Provincial Police organized a ceremony to promote the rank of Captain to Major for comrade Nguyen Van Kha who died while performing his duties.
On April 17, Hau Giang Provincial Police said that in order to recognize the spirit of determination in fighting against crime and violations of the law; the sacrifice of Comrade Nguyen Van Kha, the Minister of Public Security decided to promote the rank from Captain to Major, from April 14, 2025 for Comrade Nguyen Van Kha (born in 1986, Go Quao district, Kien Giang province), an officer of Vinh Tuong Commune Police, Vi Thuy district.
At the same time, on behalf of the Board of Directors of the People's Public Security Comrades' Association Fund, the Minister of Public Security, and the Chairman of the Fund Management Board also decided to support the family of comrade Nguyen Van Kha with 100 million VND.
On the same morning, Hau Giang Provincial Party Secretary Dong Van Thanh and Chairman of Hau Giang Provincial People's Committee Tran Van Huyen came to express their condolences and encourage comrade Nguyen Van Kha's family to soon overcome difficulties to stabilize their lives. On this occasion, Hau Giang Provincial Party Secretary also presented financial support to comrade Nguyen Van Kha's family.
Comrade Nguyen Van Kha joined the People's Public Security force in October 2005, with nearly 20 years of attachment and dedication. In July 2019, he was working at the Economic and Drug Crime Investigation Police Team of Vi Thuy District Police when he volunteered to work at the Commune Police.
During his time working at the facility, comrade Kha has always received the trust and affection of the people, comrades and local authorities.
Comrade Kha died at 9:00 p.m. on April 14, 2025, while performing the task of patrolling and handling the subject who used a scrap boat with an electric pulse to illegally fish.
