Currently, the section from Phan Thuc Duyen underpass to Hoang Hoa Tham street (1.25km long) has been completed and put into operation. The 4-lane overpass in front of Terminal T3 has also been completed, ready to connect directly to Terminal T3.

The remainder of the road from Hoang Hoa Tham to Truong Chinh is under construction and is expected to open to traffic before April 20.

Xuyen Tam Canal is nearly 9 km long, flowing through Binh Thanh and Go Vap districts, and is one of the most polluted canals in Ho Chi Minh City.

The renovation project with a total investment of more than VND 17,200 billion, of which compensation and site clearance costs account for about VND 14,000 billion, will affect 2,215 households.

The project includes dredging 3.5 m deep, widening the canal bed by 20 - 30 m and building a wastewater collection system. Along both sides of the canal, there will be a 6 m wide road, 3 - 4 m sidewalks, with parks and trees.

Package XL-03 (from Luong Ngoc Quyen to Vam Thuat River) through Go Vap and Ward 13, Binh Thanh District will start construction before April 30.

The XL-01 and XL-02 packages (through Binh Thanh) will start construction before September 2, 2025. The project is expected to be completed in 2028, improving the environment, preventing flooding and beautifying the urban area.

Can Gio coastal urban tourism area

The project is located in Long Hoa commune and Can Thanh town, Can Gio district, with a planned area of 2,870 hectares, divided into 4 subdivisions A, B, C and D-E.

The total investment of the project is more than 217,000 billion VND (nearly 9 billion USD), with a population of about 230,000 people and the ability to welcome 8 - 9 million tourists per year.

The project aims to develop Can Gio into an urban area of marine tourism, resorts, smart with high-tech services, housing and hotels.

Recently, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee approved the 1,357 ha sea encroachment project. The total investment for this part is 64,425 billion VND, expected to be completed in 2031.

The project has completed detailed planning procedures 1/500, environmental impact assessment reports and feasibility studies.
