On April 17, the Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee issued Decision No. 1892-QD/TU on the establishment of a Joint Working Group between the two provinces of Quang Ngai and Kon Tum to prepare for the merger of provincial-level administrative units.

The working group is responsible for advising the Standing Committees of the Provincial Party Committees of the two provinces in arranging the working headquarters of provincial-level agencies, handling issues related to finance, budget and public assets after the merger.

The working group is headed by Mr. Nguyen Hoang Giang - Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province and Mr. Le Ngoc Tuan - Chairman of the People's Committee of Kon Tum province. The two Deputy Heads include Mr. Nguyen Van Trong - Director of the Quang Ngai Department of Finance and Mr. Nguyen Van Dieu - Director of the Kon Tum Department of Finance.

The working group consists of 6 members, including the Director of the Department of Construction and heads of specialized departments under the Department of Finance and the Department of Construction of the two localities.

The working group will review and develop a plan to rearrange the headquarters of provincial agencies in Quang Ngai (after the merger), collect statistics on public assets, report on the financial and budgetary situation, and propose solutions to handle current construction investment projects.

In addition, the team will also develop a plan to arrange and effectively use real estate and public assets; propose the arrangement of public housing, means of transportation and solutions to support cadres, civil servants and public employees in the process of changing workplaces.
