The origin, the artery and the strength of the Vietnam - China relationship lie in the people

On April 15, in Hanoi, within the framework of the state visit to Vietnam by General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, the two sides organized the Vietnam - China People's Friendship Meeting, the "Red Journey: Research and Learning of young people", the Vietnam - China Railway Cooperation Mechanism and the Photo Exhibition of 75 years of establishing diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China.

General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member and President Luong Cuong and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping visited the Photo Exhibition of the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China, attended the Vietnam - China People's Friendship Meeting, and the Launching Ceremony of "Red Journey: Research and Learning of the Youth".

Expressing his appreciation for the significance and importance of the Vietnam - China People's Friendship Meeting, General Secretary To Lam suggested that all classes of people and young generations of the two countries need to shoulder the responsibility of inheriting and constantly developing the "Vietnam - China close relationship, both comrade and brother" - a valuable common asset of the two Parties, two countries and peoples of the two countries personally built by President Ho Chi Minh, Chairman Mao Zheng and the Former leaders of the two countries;

Agencies and organizations of the two countries need to coordinate to effectively implement the project "Red Journey: Research and learning of young people"; the younger generations of the two countries need to constantly strive to practice, improve creativity, master new technology; strengthen solidarity, cooperation, and help each other develop together, to truly promote the core role in the industrialization and modernization of each country, becoming a pioneer force to steadily develop Vietnam - China relations in the new era.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping emphasized that the China-Vietnam relationship is "like a tree with roots, like a stream with a source", in which all the roots, heart and strength of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries lie in the people, in the friendship of the people.

General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping emphasized that China is ready to maintain high-level strategic exchanges with Vietnam, consolidate a solid social foundation; suggested that the two sides take the "2025 China - Vietnam Humanitarian Exchange Year" as an opportunity, implement a humane exchange through rich and diverse activities; jointly organize warm and close exchanges with the people, effectively exploit the "red heritages" of the two countries' revolutions, better tell the story of friendship between the people of the two countries, so that the China - Vietnam friendship is passed down from generation to generation.

On this occasion, the two sides announced the launch of the project "Red Journey: Research and learning of young people".

Accordingly, the agencies and organizations of the two countries coordinate to effectively promote revolutionary historical relics in Vietnam and China, associated with the revolutionary activities of President Ho Chi Minh and revolutionary predecessors of the two countries, to propagate and educate, making the younger generations of the two countries better understand the revolutionary journey of mutual assistance between Vietnam and China, thereby raising awareness of the traditional friendship and the important significance of the relationship between the two Parties and the two countries.

On the same day, with the witness of General Secretary To Lam; Politburo member, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping, the two sides launched the Vietnam - China railway cooperation mechanism and established a Vietnam - China Railway Cooperation Joint Committee.

This is a new development step and an important milestone in railway cooperation, demonstrating the interest and determination of the leaders of the two Parties and countries in promoting cooperation in the railway sector between Vietnam and China.
