People flock to Hung Temple to offer incense at the beginning of the new year

Hung Temple is a place to worship the Hung Kings - those who contributed to building the country, and at the same time is a sacred spiritual space, symbolizing the tradition of "drinking water, remembering the source" of the Vietnamese nation.

Lao Dong's records on the afternoon of the 2nd day of Tet, crowds from many localities flocked to the Hung Kings Temple historical relic site to offer incense and enjoy spring at the beginning of the year.

Rainless weather, chilly weather, fresh air create favorable conditions for people to go to temples and sightseeing.

On the stone steps leading to Ha Temple, Trung Temple, Thuong Temple, each family, group of young friends, elderly people in neat clothes, holding offerings, slowly walking in the chilly spring weather. The space of the special national relic site is filled with solemnity and reverence.

Ms. Le Thi Lan Phuong's family (Au Co ward, Phu Tho) said that they had prepared the ceremony before Tet to go to the temple for spring travel, praying for a peaceful and favorable new year.

According to Ms. Phuong, for many years, the family has maintained the habit of going to temples at the beginning of the year, both wishing for peace and prosperity, and reminding children and grandchildren to look towards their roots, expressing gratitude to the Hung Kings.

Mr. Tran Minh Quan (Viet Tri ward, Phu Tho) shared that from 7 am, his family was present at the top of Nghia Linh mountain to offer incense to commemorate ancestors.

For him, going to Hung Temple at the beginning of the year is not only spiritual but also an opportunity for members to reunite and send wishes for a new year of health and peace.

Not only domestic people, but also many international tourists came to visit and learn about culture at Hung Temple on the 2nd day of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year. As the afternoon approached, when the weather became warmer, the number of visitors to the relic site increased, and the spring travel atmosphere became more bustling.

Although the number of people flocking was quite large, no jostling or pushing occurred. Environmental sanitation was ensured, and no phenomenon of littering indiscriminately in the relic site was recorded.
