Seeking public opinion on the Project to reorganize Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces

Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Vuong Quoc Tuan has just signed and issued Plan No. 238/KH-UBND to collect public opinions and submit to People's Councils at all levels on the Project on the arrangement of provincial and commune-level administrative units of Bac Ninh province in 2025.

According to the Plan, the whole province will collect public opinions on April 20, 2025, starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:00 p.m. at the latest (for units that complete early, the vote will be counted immediately).

Organize to collect opinions from voters representing households in the area on 2 Projects including: Project to reorganize Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province; Project to reorganize commune-level administrative units of Bac Ninh province in 2025.

The public consultation is organized by village and neighborhood in the form of giving votes to collect opinions (according to the form) according to the representative of the household.

The content of the People's Opinions is the content of the Project, including the following sections: Voters agree, disagree and other opinions.

The People's Committees of communes, wards and towns are responsible for making and posting the list of voters representing households according to the instructions of the Department of Home Affairs.

No later than April 18, 2025, the People's Committee at the district level shall direct the People's Committee at the commune level to decide to establish a People's Committee for collecting public opinions according to the village or neighborhood; members of the People's Committee shall be decided by the People's Committee at the commune level but must ensure a minimum of 5 members or more.

In which, the Head of the Group is the Party Cell Secretary or Village Head, Quarter Head; the members are representatives of prestigious socio-political organizations and people in the village and neighborhood.

The results of the public consultation of villages/quarters on the Project to reorganize provincial and commune-level administrative units of Bac Ninh province in 2025 were approved when over 50% of voters representing households in the village/quarters agreed.

Previously, at the press conference to inform about the results of the implementation of economic and social tasks of Bac Giang province in the first quarter of 2025 on the morning of April 11, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong - Deputy Director of the Department of Home Affairs of Bac Giang province said that the Standing Committees of the Bac Giang and Bac Ninh Provincial Party Committees had a meeting to discuss the merger of the two provinces.

In particular, the deadline for submitting documents on the arrangement of provincial administrative units is before May 1, and the time to collect voters' opinions is April 20.
