Lao Cai adds a new channel to solve housing needs for workers
Lao Cai - The Development Investment Fund is assigned to perform the function of the Housing Fund, creating more channels to support housing development, helping workers and civil servants stabilize their housing.
On June 12, Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee informed that the province has just issued Decision No. 2028 assigning the Development Investment Fund to implement the goals and functions of the Provincial Housing Fund according to the provisions of Decree No. 302 of the Government on the National Housing Fund and measures to implement Resolution No. 201 on piloting a number of specific mechanisms and policies for social housing development.
According to the decision, the Lao Cai Provincial Development Investment Fund will become the focal point for implementing tasks related to the development, management and operation of the housing fund in the area.
In which, the fund is assigned to invest in building social housing and social housing projects with synchronous technical infrastructure and social infrastructure for lease.
In addition, this unit will receive and convert the function of public housing belonging to public assets to put into exploitation for rent; create social housing through the form of buying, ordering, receiving or transferring from organizations and businesses.
Another notable task is to purchase commercial housing for rent for officials, civil servants, public employees and laborers, contributing to diversifying housing supply in accordance with actual needs.
The Lao Cai Provincial Development Investment Fund is also assigned to organize the management and operation of housing funds built and established by the unit, ensuring the effective exploitation of social housing resources.
The operating capital of the Provincial Housing Fund is formed from the state budget, support sources, voluntary contributions of organizations and individuals at home and abroad, and other legal mobilized sources as prescribed.
Lao Cai Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Provincial Development Investment Fund to coordinate with relevant departments and agencies to develop operating regulations, propose additional capital sources, and organize the implementation of tasks.
The Department of Construction, Department of Finance, Department of Home Affairs and related agencies are responsible for guiding, inspecting, and evaluating the operation process of the Provincial Housing Fund, ensuring the correct implementation of regulations.
