Lam Dong deploys the elimination of 966 temporary and dilapidated houses
Lam Dong - In 2025, the locality aims to eliminate 966 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households.
On April 15, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee issued an official dispatch directing the implementation of a program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
Accordingly, the Department of Agriculture and Environment is assigned to preside over and coordinate with departments, branches, sectors, and People's Committees of districts and cities to complete the program before September 30.
The tasks of the Department of Agriculture and Environment include: Advising the Provincial People's Committee to report to the Steering Committee for the Elimination of Temporary Houses; urging and resolving difficulties at the grassroots level and reporting to the Provincial People's Committee; daily updating of results.
The Department also has the task of coordinating with the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee to build houses for people with meritorious services. Mobilize support resources, ensure the use of funds for the right purposes and strengthen inspection and supervision of progress.
The Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions shall preside over and coordinate with the People's Committees of districts to speed up the implementation of Project 1 under the National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development of Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas.
In 2025, Lam Dong plans to eliminate 966 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households (build 740 new houses, repair 226 houses).
Localities with many households in need of support include: Dam Rong district (258 houses), Di Linh district (221 houses), Bao Lam district (150 houses), Da Huoai district (133 houses)...
In 2024, Lam Dong has completed a plan to eliminate 1,004 temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households. Of which, 850 houses were newly built, the rest were under repair.
