On April 18, at the Government Headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired the 2nd thematic Government meeting on law in April 2025, discussing many important contents to prepare for submission to the National Assembly.

Regarding the draft Law on the State Budget (amended), the Prime Minister said that it is necessary to review and design policies with stronger innovation, revolution, and further breakthroughs; and to nurture revenue sources.

Reducing the proportion of regular expenditures, absolutely increase development investment expenditures; manage and control public debt, budget deficits to ensure efficiency and debt repayment capacity; increase reserve budget in the current context when the situation changes very quickly.
