English proficiency survey of public teachers in Ho Chi Minh City
HCMC - Public teachers in HCMC will participate in a survey on English proficiency in the near future.
The Department of Education and Training (DET) of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a plan to organize a survey on the English proficiency of civil servants and public employees in the city's education sector.
The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that the survey subjects are teachers who are teaching at public primary, secondary and high schools in the city.
Participating teachers will conduct an objective multiple-choice survey, lasting 90 minutes, including listening, reading and writing skills to assess English proficiency according to the CEFR European standard reference framework (from A1 to C2).
The survey is designed and standardized by Cambridge Assessment English, ensuring objectivity, science and high reliability in assessing teachers' English proficiency.
The survey period is from April 23 to 29, divided by shift for each district.
According to the Department of Education and Training, the purpose of the survey is to comprehensively assess the current status of the ability and English proficiency of the teaching staff in the education and training sector.
From the survey results, the city's education sector can build a scientific and practical basis to propose appropriate content, approaches, and solutions.
The survey results will provide foundational data to build programs and plans for developing foreign language proficiency in a systematic, focused and key manner; ensuring effectiveness, feasibility and in line with the development orientation of the teaching staff according to a clear roadmap.
