Over 40 billion VND to support the "For the Sea and Islands of Vietnam" Fund in 2025
On April 18, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFF) of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong chaired a launching ceremony to support the "For the Sea and Islands of Vietnam" Fund in 2025.
Launching a campaign to support the "For the Sea and Islands of Vietnam" Fund in 2025, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city Nguyen Lan Huong emphasized: The sea and islands of Vietnam hold a particularly important strategic position, an inseparable sacred territory of the Fatherland. The task of maintaining the sovereignty of the sea and islands is the common responsibility of the entire Party, the entire army and each Vietnamese citizen.
In recent years, Hanoi has implemented many practical and meaningful activities to encourage and motivate cadres, soldiers and people in coastal areas and islands. Along with promoting information, propaganda, raising awareness among cadres, party members and people of the capital about the sea and islands, Hanoi organized delegations to visit, encourage, and give gifts to soldiers and people on the islands; presented funds to support the construction of infrastructure, improve working, living and studying conditions for soldiers and people on the islands of Truong Sa archipelago as well as the DK1 Ship House. From 2016 to present, the people and officials of the capital have donated over 509 billion VND to the fund; the city has supported the construction of 11 multi-purpose cultural houses, supporting the spirit and material needs of officers, soldiers and people on the islands of Truong Sa island district.
Emphasizing the implementation of the campaign for the Fund "For the Sea and Islands of Vietnam" in 2025 taking place in the context of the entire political system focusing on implementing the revolution of streamlining the apparatus and the scientific and technological revolution, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi City Nguyen Lan Huong suggested that Front officials at all levels should strive, strive, promote their role and responsibility, focus highly, speed up in guiding and coordinating the campaign to ensure both progress and quality, and the Fund mobilization targets. The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city is committed to ensuring efficiency, publicity, transparency, and timeliness in the management and use of the fund.
At the launching ceremony, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city received support from 48 organizations and individuals with a total amount of more than 40 billion VND.
The support period for the "For the Sea and Islands of Vietnam" Fund in 2025 starts from April 18 to June 30, 2025. The campaign beneficiaries are: Agencies, units, organizations, businesses, religious organizations; cadres, civil servants, and laborers; cadres and soldiers of the armed forces and people of all walks of life in the capital; students studying in the city; other volunteer organizations and individuals...
In which, each cadre, civil servant, and employee in agencies, units, and enterprises of the city donates at least 1 day's salary. Mobilize agencies, units, organizations, businesses, religious organizations and people to support depending on their ability and conditions. The form of support is in Vietnamese currency or foreign currency.
