Hanoi - The road is more than 2.5km long, meeting 6 lanes, and is completing the final items, preparing to technically open to traffic after 27 months of construction.
Started in February 2023, the Le Quang Dao extended road construction project is preparing to reach the finish line.
This is a route that many people are looking forward to, because when completed, it will help shorten travel time between Nam Tu Liem and Ha Dong districts, reduce traffic pressure on routes in the area, and contribute to promoting the socio-economic development of the capital.
The project to build an extended Le Quang Dao road is 2.6km long, starting at the intersection of Le Quang Dao - Thang Long Avenue (Nam Tu Liem District), ending at Duong Noi Urban Area (Ha Dong District).
The total investment of the project is more than 700 billion VND, invested by the People's Committee of Nam Tu Liem District.
To implement the project, Nam Tu Liem district has reclaimed and cleared 123,351.5m2 of land, involving 364 households and 8 organizations, in the wards of Me Tri, Trung Van and Dai Mo.
According to the design, the route meets inter-regional road standards, with a design speed of 60 km/h. The typical cross-section is 40m, the section connecting to Thang Long Avenue (about 110m long) has a cross-section of 100m wide.
Previously, the 1.9km section from the Thang Long Avenue service road intersection to the end of the intersection with Dai Mo Street (Provincial Road 70) was basically completed and temporarily opened to traffic from January 22, helping people travel more conveniently.
According to the reporter of Lao Dong Newspaper, many machines and workers are being mobilized to construct the final items of the project (from the intersection of Provincial Road 70 to the area near Anland Lakeview apartment building).
The items being implemented include paving sidewalks, installing lighting systems, planting trees and completing miniatures along the route...
According to the representative of the Nam Tu Liem District Construction Investment Project Management Board, up to now, the project has basically completed the main items.
According to the contract signed between the investor and the contractor, the entire project will be completed in May 2025, after 27 months of construction.
