Hanoi adjusts traffic at Lang Ha - Giang Vo intersection from June 12

The Lang Ha - Giang Vo - La Thanh intersection will be organized for traffic according to the new plan to serve the construction of overpasses under the Ring Road 1 project (Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section).

Hanoi Department of Construction said that the adjustment is to ensure the project construction progress, while limiting congestion and ensuring traffic safety in the area.

According to the new plan, the Lang Ha - Giang Vo - La Thanh intersection will shift from traffic regulation with traffic lights to self-propelled traffic organization. Vehicles traveling along the Ring Road 1 temporary road system combined with paint markings, directional signs and turnaround points are arranged on Giang Vo, Lang Ha and temporary roads.

The plan is implemented from 10:00 PM on June 12, 2026 until a new notice is issued. Functional agencies request that barriers only be implemented when the infrastructure to serve traffic organization is fully completed, and at the same time ensure that it does not affect public passenger transport by bus. The surveillance camera system and traffic lights must also be relocated according to the approved plan.

To minimize the impact on people, the Hanoi Department of Construction requests the investor and related units to widely inform about the barrier plan, and at the same time coordinate with local authorities in Giang Vo and Lang wards to guide and support people in the area.

During the construction process, units must strictly implement environmental protection measures such as spraying fog to prevent dust, covering the construction site and regularly cleaning the construction area. Notably, vehicles and construction machinery are only allowed to enter and exit the construction site from 10 pm to 5 am the next day to limit the impact on daytime traffic.

The Hanoi Department of Construction also requested the Traffic Police and Traffic Inspectors to strengthen inspection and handle cases of encroachment on roads and sidewalks around the construction area to prevent the risk of congestion.

The overpass at the Lang Ha - Giang Vo intersection is one of the items under the Ring Road 1 project, Hoang Cau - Voi Phuc section. The project is expected to contribute to reducing traffic pressure in the central area, gradually completing Ring Road 1 - an important traffic axis of the Capital.
