The list of Provincial Party Secretaries and City Party Secretaries of new provinces and cities after the merger appointed by the Politburo and the Secretariat was announced on the morning of June 30.
1. Mr. Nguyen Van Nen - Politburo member, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee - holds the position of Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee (new).
2. Mr. Hau A Lenh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Ha Giang Provincial Party Committee - holds the position of Secretary of the Tuyen Quang Provincial Party Committee (new).
3. Mr. Trinh Xuan Truong - Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee - holds the position of Secretary of Lao Cai Provincial Party Committee (new).
4. Mr. Trinh Viet Hung - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee - holds the position of Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Party Committee (new).
5. Mr. Dang Xuan Phong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Vinh Phuc Provincial Party Committee - holds the position of Secretary of the Phu Tho Provincial Party Committee (new).
