At the press conference, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that up to this point, the 14th National Party Congress has been a resounding success and a very good success. The General Secretary emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress is truly a Congress of solidarity and unity, demonstrating the will, bravery, aspiration, determination, strength and culture of the Vietnamese people and the Communist Party of Vietnam in the new development stage of the country. The 14th National Congress not only had high unity in the content of documents and action program of the Congress but also had very high unity, focusing on the selection of personnel for the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam. The Congress also agreed to make historic decisions to successfully implement the two 100-year strategic goals that the 13th National Party Congress had determined.

"We also believe that with the strength of the nation's historical roots, with the long tradition of nearly a century of leading Vietnam of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with the support and joint efforts of all people, with the encouragement and cooperation of many international friends and progressive people around the world, we will certainly successfully implement the resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, and will certainly successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized and happy socialist Vietnam" - General Secretary To Lam said.

Responding to the press at the press conference, General Secretary To Lam emphasized that over the past 100 years, Vietnam has demonstrated the initial guidelines and steps of the Communist Party of Vietnam, gone on the right track and achieved many great achievements. The General Secretary wondered, the 14th Central Executive Committee must be responsible for implementation; how to build a vision, what will Vietnam be like 100 years later? This is a very new task, a very long vision, that this Congress term is responsible for implementing, not just thinking during its term.

Another new point, according to the General Secretary, is that Vietnam's development requirements are very fast, it is necessary to build a suitable national development model. In terms of economy, how to build a growth model to ensure double-digit growth, if it does not reach that speed, will not achieve the set target.

Another new point of the 14th Congress, according to the General Secretary, is that documents that were widely contributed by the people received nearly 14 million opinions in a month. Right in the congress, nearly 800 opinions were given to the document. People across the country, overseas Vietnamese, and international friends look forward to the Congress with faith and excitement.

Vietnam has enough prestige, position, and responsibility to participate in international issues

Responding to questions from the international press, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that countries, whether big or small, are responsible for global and cross-border issues such as climate change, natural disasters, food security, cybersecurity, war, etc. No country in the world, no matter how strong or powerful, can solve global problems on its own, but must have international cooperation and alliances to solve them - the General Secretary affirmed.

In fact, according to the General Secretary, after 40 years of innovation, reform and development, Vietnam's potential is different from before. Vietnam has enough prestige, position, and responsibility to participate in regional and international issues. Vietnam will continue to participate in international activities, humanitarian aid, rescue in disaster areas and humanitarian crises, and participate in creating peace in the region as well as the world. "We are ready to contribute more to mediation, reconciliation, bridging the resolution of disputes and conflicts, creating peace and security in the region and the world" - the General Secretary emphasized.

The General Secretary said that Vietnam shares the challenges that many countries are facing, participating in the fields of hunger eradication and poverty reduction on a global scale, committing to sustainable development, food security, responding to climate change, green transformation, digital transformation... "The more uncertain the world is, the more countries must unite" - the General Secretary expressed his opinion.

According to General Secretary To Lam, to have peace and development, it is necessary to open up with the outside, integrate internationally, and cooperate with other countries. Vietnam's economy is very open, with security closely linked to regional and world security. If there is no international integration, it will not be possible to stabilize and develop. This is something we have learned in practice - General Secretary To Lam answered international reporters.

We upgrade the position and role of international integration to a new position. That is the new spirit of the Congress Resolution. We must elevate international integration, considering international integration as the top method to achieve the country's strategic goals" - the General Secretary said.

Sending international thanks in the past for supporting and helping Vietnam during the war and during the embargo, General Secretary To Lam said that Vietnam has now shifted from "receiving" to "contributing", deeply integrating to full integration. To achieve the double-digit growth target, Vietnam must have a new growth model, identifying international economic integration as the center, with top priorities being the knowledge economy, green economy, circular economy, promoting 3 strategic breakthroughs...

"This Congress is for action"

Informing about the direction for the next term, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that the 14th Congress Resolution must be soon put into practice.
"We, the Congress, are inclined to act.We have learned lessons and experiences from the previous term such as the organization of implementation was a weak step, the resolution was very good but not effective in practice.We focus on removing these problems" - the General Secretary informed the press.

In addition to the document, the Central Executive Committee also proposed a Party action program to implement these resolutions.

These are the ways we will implement in the coming time, said the General Secretary.

In the implementation organization, it is necessary to specify the documents as the program, plan, and completion time limit. Strongly innovate development methods. Improve economic efficiency, practice thrift, and fight waste. Remove bottlenecks, unlock resources. Design a mechanism for inspection, supervision, periodic assessment and strictly handle cases of stagnation, avoidance, and shirking of responsibilities in implementation.
