General Secretary To Lam talks about the keywords of the 14th National Party Congress

A milestone in the 96-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam

At the international press conference on the afternoon of January 23, right after the closing session of the 14th National Party Congress, General Secretary To Lam chaired and discussed with the press the results of the Congress.

The press conference was attended by many press and news agencies both at home and abroad.

Also attending the press conference were Politburo members: Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu, Head of the Central Organizing Committee Le Minh Hung, Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee Trinh Van Quyet, Chief of the Central Office Pham Gia Tuc, Permanent Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics Doan Minh Huan, Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung. Also attending was Central Party Committee member, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Lam Thi Phuong Thanh.

At the beginning of the press conference, General Secretary To Lam gave a welcoming speech and informed the results of the 14th National Party Congress. The General Secretary said he was very happy to meet domestic and foreign journalists and reporters to report on the Congress.

The General Secretary thanked the reporters for continuously informing about the Congress so that people and overseas Vietnamese can promptly grasp the developments, programs and success of the Congress.

"Up to this point, the 14th Congress has been a great success, a great success. This is a milestone in the 96-year history of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the historical flow of the Vietnamese people for thousands of years of civilization and heroism".

The General Secretary summarized the " keywords" of the Congress: "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development - Responsibility - Dedication - Intelligence - Science - For the People - Strategic autonomy - Strength - Confidence - National Pride for a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, prosperous, civilized, happy Vietnam, firmly moving towards Socialism.

Carrying the responsibility before the Party and the people

The General Secretary emphasized that the 14th National Party Congress is truly a Congress of solidarity and unity, demonstrating the will, bravery, aspiration, determination, strength and culture of the Vietnamese people and the Communist Party of Vietnam in the new development stage of the country.

The 14th National Congress not only had high unity in the content of documents and action program of the Congress but also had very high unity, focusing on the selection of personnel for the 14th Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.

The Congress elected the Central Executive Committee consisting of 200 comrades, of which 180 were full-time members and 20 were alternate members.

After that, the Party Central Committee elected the Politburo, elected the General Secretary, elected the Secretariat and Party leadership agencies such as the Central Inspection Committee, Chairman of the Central Inspection Committee, and assigned Politburo and Secretariat comrades to participate in the work.

The General Secretary emphasized that the members of the 14th Party Central Committee are typical representatives of about 5.6 million Party members of the Communist Party of Vietnam, meeting all standards of quality, ethics, prestige, capacity, and qualifications and being highly trusted by the Congress, elected to the Party's leadership agencies between the two Congresses, to shoulder the responsibility before the Party and the people in the new revolutionary period.

According to the General Secretary, the Congress has oriented to build the Central Executive Committee, the Politburo, the Secretariat, especially the leaders of the Party and State of the 14th tenure as a clean, strong collective, truly united, highly unified in will and action, demonstrating the pioneering, exemplary, fighting spirit, action, discipline, daring to give of themselves for the noble cause of the Party, for the prosperous and happy life of the people.

The Congress also agreed to make historic decisions to successfully implement the two 100-year strategic goals that the 13th National Party Congress had determined.

"We also believe that with the strength of the nation's historical roots, with the long tradition of nearly a century of leading Vietnam of the Communist Party of Vietnam, with the support and joint efforts of all people, with the encouragement and cooperation of many international friends and progressive people around the world, we will certainly successfully implement the resolution of the 14th National Congress of the Party, and will certainly successfully build a peaceful, independent, democratic, prosperous, civilized and happy socialist Vietnam" - General Secretary To Lam said.
