Experts splash water to avoid abuse, depend on AI
HCMC - Abusing AI can reduce users' thinking and creativity.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is increasingly developing and penetrating into all areas of life, from education, healthcare to communication, entertainment... because of its convenience and usefulness.
Nguyen Thuy Duong, a student at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, said that the learning process is associated with creating text and images, so Thuy Duong often uses AI tools to answer concepts, scientific questions, translate or convert text to images, or audio to text.
According to Thuy Duong, using AI helps female students shorten the stages that require operations and tasks, increasing performance by about 40% compared to traditional learning and working methods.
Similarly, Nguyen Thi Thuy Vy, a student at Ho Chi Minh City Open University, said that she often uses AI to come up with ideas and find information.
Thuy Vy said that she often uses AI to solve time-consuming tasks such as checking spelling errors and analyzing data.
However, overusing AI is causing a part of young people to fall into a state of dependence, reducing their thinking and creativity.
At the program of the Startup Student Support Day recently organized by the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City in coordination with Hong Bang International University, Minh Nhat, a student in Ho Chi Minh City, said that he is using many AI tools to support learning and coming up with ideas.
"I feel too dependent on AI and I want to find a way to limit it," Minh Nhat shared.
Responding to the male student's question, Mr. Nguyen Truong Gia Kiet - Head of the training department of the Southern region of Samsung Vietnam said that this is a common problem that many people are facing because currently, accessing AI is very easy.
The expert shared that there are many AI applications today - this is both an advantage and a disadvantage, so AI users must know how to use them intelligently.
He said: "The results returned by AI are not always correct, so users have to learn to think, reason and think more. AI is just a tool, it cannot replace thinking. We are the most important thing, using AI reasonably will be a companion, excellent support and no need to worry about being dependent".
Mr. Kiet also affirmed that AI will not replace humans, but those who know how to use AI will replace those who do not know how to use AI.
Sharing the same view, Mr. Dat Pham - CEO of The Bunka House, an AI image building expert, said that the development of AI has led to the situation where people and households all use AI.
He asked: "So how to make a difference and an advantage? ".
From there, he advised students to increase training, supplement knowledge and language. "You should interact, find the strengths of each AI child and think about your own approach," Mr. Dat Pham shared.
