National Assembly Chairman surveys Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve
Can Tho - At noon on October 10, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the working delegation surveyed Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve.
Immediately after meeting voters, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and the working delegation surveyed Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve in Phuong Binh Commune, Can Tho City (formerly Phuong Binh Commune, Phung Hiep District, Hau Giang Province).

National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man suggested that Can Tho City pay attention to investing in developing Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve, both protecting the ecosystem and creating jobs and promoting the socio-economy. At the same time, investors are called to pay attention to and effectively exploit the potential of this area.
With advantages in transportation such as airports and highways, the National Assembly Chairman suggested that the city promote the cultural identity of rivers and waterways, develop tourism to become a highlight of the Mekong Delta, while absolutely protect the environment and natural landscape.

Lung Ngoc Hoang Nature Reserve is about 2,800 hectares wide, considered the "green lung" of the Mekong Delta. This place possesses a primitive ecosystem, a habitat for more than 330 species of plants and 206 species of animals, including many rare species, listed in the Red Book.
Lung Ngoc Hoang is a typical flooded land of the Western Hau River region, which has been included in the list of potential for national tourism development according to Decision No. 509/QD-TTg dated June 13, 2024.
Can Tho City is oriented to develop the reserve into a complex including: high-tech park combined with ecology, urban area for education - sports - health care and ecological village.
