Can Tho visits each house to collect opinions on provincial-level mergers and commune-level arrangement
Can Tho organizes a public consultation on the policy of arranging administrative units at the commune and provincial levels in a direct manner (each household receives 1 voting for voters).
On April 15, communes and wards in Can Tho City deployed to collect voters' opinions on the merger with Hau Giang and Soc Trang provinces and the plan to reorganize commune-level administrative units. Many localities organize the bringing of ballots to each household for direct opinions.
Previously, on April 14, the People's Committee of Can Tho City continued to issue an official dispatch on strengthening information, propaganda and organizing the collection of voters' opinions on representing households in the area on the arrangement of administrative units at the commune and provincial levels.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of Can Tho City requests the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the City and its member organizations; Heads of specialized agencies under the People's Committee of the City, Chairmen of People's Committees at district and commune levels to continue to inform and propagate to union members, association members; cadres, civil servants, public employees, workers and people about the policies of the Party and State on the arrangement of administrative units at the commune and provincial levels to mobilize, persuade, create high consensus in society, ensure democracy, and comply with legal regulations.
Assign the Director of the Department of Home Affairs to urge, guide and inspect localities in organizing the collection of voters' opinions on the policy of arranging administrative units at the commune and provincial levels; synthesize and prepare reports on the results of collecting voters' opinions, continue to complete the project to submit to the City People's Committee to the People's Councils at relevant levels for consideration and voting on the policy of arranging administrative units on April 16, 2025.

The Director of the Can Tho Department of Home Affairs proactively monitors and coordinates with the specialized agencies (Department of Home Affairs) of the People's Committee of Soc Trang province and the People's Committee of Hau Giang province in organizing the collection of voters' opinions in commune-level administrative units directly affected by the arrangement of administrative units; promptly synthesizes and reports the results of the collection of voters' opinions to the City People's Committee, and sends them to the Government's Electronic Information Portal for posting.

Can Tho City People's Committee also assigned the Chairman of the District People's Committee to proactively coordinate with the Standing Committee of the People's Council at the same level to organize a meeting (morning of April 18, 2025) to approve the Project on the arrangement of administrative units at the commune and provincial levels; complete the dossier and send it to the Department of Home Affairs on the afternoon of April 18, 2025.
The Chairman of the People's Committee at the commune level urgently coordinated with the Standing Committee of the People's Council at the same level to organize a meeting (afternoon of April 17, 2025) to approve the Project on the arrangement of administrative units at the commune and provincial levels; complete the dossier and send it to the People's Committee at the district level before April 18, 2025.
