Ca Mau organizes many activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of national reunification

On April 16, the Steering Committee for Major Holidays of Ca Mau province said that, towards the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), Ca Mau province directed functional agencies and localities to renovate 159 historical relics, memorial steles, steles to honor heroic martyrs, and martyrs cemeteries. Of which, there are 53 relics; 5 cemeteries; 101 memorial steles and stele houses with names.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes the renovation and restoration of the special national monument of Ben Vam Lung, on the Ho Chi Minh Sea route. Organize repairs and renovations of houses of gratitude that have been supported before but are degraded. Thereby, to pay tribute to those who have contributed to the revolution, and to commemorate the heroic martyrs who sacrificed for the cause of fighting, liberating the nation, and unifying the Fatherland.

The Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province organized 6 delegations to visit historical witnesses, exemplary policy families, and meritorious people in the area. From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. on April 24, 2025, the ceremony to receive the Certificate of ranking as a special national relic of Ben Vam Lung Relic (Hamlet 8, Rach Goc Town, Ngoc Hien District) will take place.

On April 26, 2025, Ca Mau province held a traditional meeting of comrades who were former Secretaries, Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Council, Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee through the periods; representatives of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers; Heroes of the People's Armed Forces; Historical witnesses - comrades participating in the liberation campaign of Ca Mau province; representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, and unions; representatives of District Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee of districts and Ca Mau city; people of all walks of life in the province.

At the end of April 2025, in coordination with Bac Lieu province, the Canh Hao Bridge technical opening ceremony (connecting Dam Doi district, Ca Mau province and Dong Hai district, Bac Lieu province) was held; a ceremony was held to honor outstanding and outstanding literary and artistic works 50 years after the country's reunification and awarded prizes for the Literary and artistic works composition contest "Chang mot chong thuong Viet Nam"; started the project to expand and upgrade Ca Mau Airport.
