The Ministry of Home Affairs proposes to review policies for meritorious people
The Ministry of Home Affairs requests that localities fully and promptly implement policies for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs.
Authorized by the Minister of Home Affairs, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Nguyen Ba Hoan signed an official dispatch to the Chairmen of the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities on caring for the lives of workers on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).
Accordingly, to better care for the material and spiritual lives of people with meritorious services to the revolution and the relatives of martyrs, on this occasion, the Ministry of Home Affairs requests that Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities pay attention to directing competent agencies to step up propaganda, in order to promote the tradition of patriotism and the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" among all classes of people, especially the younger generation.
Localities need to continue reviewing the policy beneficiaries in the area who are still facing difficulties and need support, especially families of beneficiaries living in areas affected by natural disasters, floods, and salinity intrusion; remote areas, ethnic minorities, border areas, and islands to have timely support plans.
The Ministry of Home Affairs notes that localities should fully and promptly implement policies for people with meritorious services and relatives of martyrs; prioritize the allocation of funds in the state budget estimate to implement preferential policies, while mobilizing social resources to participate in caring for people with meritorious services.
In addition, it is necessary to discover and replicate typical advanced collectives and individuals in caring for war invalids, martyrs and people with meritorious services; thereby strongly promoting the movements " use gratitude and repayment of Merit" and "All people care for people with meritorious services to the country" to develop widely and effectively. The locality also needs to commend exemplary war invalids, sick soldiers and meritorious people.
Localities also need to pay attention to renovating and embellishing works commemorating martyrs such as martyrs cemeteries, reminders, martyrs' shrines; organizing incense offerings, burning candles to pay tribute to heroic martyrs at historical sites, listed works and martyrs cemeteries.
