Bac Lieu plans to have 5 wards and 20 communes after the arrangement
Bac Lieu - The province has proposed a plan to reorganize communes and wards on the basis of 64 communes, the current ward has reduced to 5 wards and 20 communes to collect public opinions.
On April 15, the Standing Committee of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee held a meeting of the Provincial Party Committee to approve the Project to merge Bac Lieu Newspaper and Bac Lieu Provincial Radio and Television Station and the plan to reorganize commune-level administrative units in the province.
At this meeting, the Executive Committee officially approved the plan to reorganize administrative units at the commune and ward levels in the whole province.
According to the plan, the whole Bac Lieu province will arrange 25 communes and wards on the basis of 64 existing communes and wards.
Specifically, Bac Lieu city has 10 commune-level administrative units with 3 wards (no communes); Gia Rai town has 10 commune-level administrative units with 2 wards and 1 commune; Hong Dan district has 9 commune-level administrative units with 4 communes; Dong Hai district has 11 commune-level administrative units with 5 communes; Hoa Binh district has 8 commune-level administrative units with 3 communes; Phuoc Long district has 8 commune-level administrative units with 4 communes and finally Vinh Loi district has 8 commune-level administrative units with 3 communes.
For the project to merge Bac Lieu Newspaper and Bac Lieu Provincial Radio and Television Station, the proposed name after the merger is Bac Lieu Provincial Radio and Television Station, operating according to the model of a public service unit under the Provincial Party Committee. The working headquarters will be located at the current Provincial Radio and Television Station. After the merger, the provincial Radio and Television Newspaper plans to keep the current number of staff and labor contracts; establish 7 affiliated organizations, reduce 4 organizations compared to the previous 2 units.
Concluding the conference, Mr. Lu Van Hung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Bac Lieu Provincial Party Committee - emphasized: After this meeting, localities will continue to collect public opinions to complete the projects. It is expected that on April 28, the Provincial People's Council will approve the progress to submit to the Central Government in early May. The Provincial Party Secretary requested all levels and sectors to thoroughly grasp the idea and urgently organize implementation.
