Another grassroots trade union established in Da Nang with 76 union members

News from the Son Tra Ward Trade Union, Da Nang City on November 28 said: The Son Tra Ward Trade Union held a Conference to announce the decision to establish and launch the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of TTH Da Nang Joint Stock Company.

At the conference, Son Tra Ward Labor Union announced the decision of the Da Nang City Labor Federation on admitting 76 workers to the union organization; the decision to establish the Trade Union of TTH Da Nang Joint Stock Company; and appointed the Trade Union Executive Committee of 5 comrades. In which, comrade Tran Thi Hoang Phi Diep was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Le Thi Hong Minh, Chairwoman of Son Tra Ward Trade Union, congratulated the establishment of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union of TTH Da Nang Joint Stock Company and hoped that the new Executive Committee would promote its role, build a strong trade union organization, protect the legitimate rights of workers, and accompany businesses in the development process.

Since the beginning of the term, Son Tra Ward Trade Union has mobilized the establishment of 5 new grassroots trade unions and developed 320 more union members in enterprises in the area; bringing the total number of affiliated grassroots trade unions to 57 units with nearly 3,700 union members.
