Establishing the first grassroots trade union after merging Da Nang and Quang Nam trade unions

On the afternoon of July 26, the Da Nang City Labor Federation held a ceremony to admit union members and establish a grassroots union of the branch of Sen Vang Garment Export Company Limited in Quang Nam (in Dien Nam - Dien Ngoc Industrial Park) on the occasion of the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025).

Accordingly, after a period of promotion, nearly 80 workers at the branch of Sen Vang Garment Export Company Limited in Quang Nam have applied to join and are eligible to establish a grassroots union.

At the ceremony, the Trade Union Board presented the decision to establish the company's grassroots trade union, appointed the Executive Committee of 5 members, with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tuyen as Chairman of the grassroots trade union.

This is the first unit established after the Da Nang City Labor Federation and Quang Nam Province merged and is the first grassroots Trade Union directly mobilized and established by the City Labor Federation after the end of the activities of the grassroots trade union.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice President of the City Labor Federation Ho Thi Lan Huong congratulated the grassroots Trade Union and promoted the rights and obligations of workers when becoming union members.

At the same time, he affirmed that the City Labor Federation will continue to accompany the company and support grassroots trade unions throughout the operation process so that grassroots trade unions can effectively perform the functions and tasks of the Trade Union organization.
