Establishing 32 grassroots trade unions, developing nearly 3,700 union members in Quang Tri

On July 2nd, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation organized the 3rd Conference of the Provincial Labor Federation Executive Committee (term I) to assess the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year and deploy tasks for the last 6 months of 2026.

At the conference, delegates focused on comprehensively assessing the results of trade union activities in the first 6 months of the year; analyzing difficulties and limitations; and sharing many effective models and ways of doing things from the grassroots level to improve the quality of trade union activities in the new period.

The Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that in the first 6 months of 2026, trade union levels achieved many outstanding results in representing, caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.

Trade union levels have supported more than 25,500 turns of union members and workers with a total budget of over 14 billion VND; built and repaired 25 "Trade Union Homes". Programs to care for Binh Ngo Tet 2026, Workers' Month and "Trade Union Meal" have been widely implemented, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.

Along with that, trade unions at all levels continue to promote dialogue, collective bargaining, implement grassroots democracy regulations and launch patriotic emulation movements. In the first 6 months of the year, the whole province recorded 1,326 initiatives.

The work of building trade union organizations continues to achieve many positive results. The whole province has admitted 3,699 union members, established 32 grassroots trade unions; introduced 105 outstanding union members for the Party to consider admitting. The work of inspection, supervision, propaganda, digital transformation and trade union financial management has been deployed synchronously.

Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen The Lap, Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation, acknowledged and praised the results achieved by trade union levels in the past time.

Mr. Nguyen The Lap requested trade union levels to continue to improve the quality of representative work, care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; taking the quality of collective bargaining and collective labor agreements as a measure of the effectiveness of trade union activities.

Trade union levels continue to innovate and improve the quality of patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the movement "Good labor, high productivity, good income"; promote digital transformation in trade union activities; strengthen the application of technology and digital communication platforms in propaganda work.

From now until the end of 2026, trade union levels in Quang Tri province will continue to innovate the content and methods of operation; improve the quality of care and protection of the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers; promote union member development; improve the effectiveness of dialogue, collective bargaining and digital transformation, contributing to building an increasingly strong trade union organization, meeting development requirements in the new period.
