Party member Do Thi Thuy: From the fear of "not being good enough" to "Golden Hands" in the Garment industry
Born into a revolutionary family, where her grandfather and father were both exemplary party members, Ms. Do Thi Thuy soon absorbed her pride and sense of responsibility.
The image of a father - a dedicated soldier, devoted to serving the people - has deeply engraved in her lessons about sacrifice and patriotism. Ms. Thuy shared: "Although the road is difficult and arduous, I have never felt my father complaining about fatigue. He always told me: As a Party member, you have to know how to share and understand, what this difficulty is".
It was those teachings that nurtured in her the desire to contribute and urged her to constantly study and practice to become a dedicated Party member. However, when faced with the decision to join the Party, Ms. Thuy could not help but worry and wonder about her own abilities and qualities. "To be honest, I was very scared at first. I was afraid that I was not good enough, not good enough to become a party member. I was afraid that I would do something wrong, affecting the prestige of the Party," she confided. That fear made her wondering whether she was truly worthy.

The first classes at the Party affection class have helped Ms. Thuy better understand the nature and leadership role of the Party. She paid special attention to the responsibility of party members and spent more time on work and the community. Ms. Thuy recalled: "The knowledge is very close and easy to understand. I am starting to better understand the nature and leadership role of the Party in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland".
The day she was admitted to the Party marked a major turning point in her life. No longer simply a worker, Ms. Thuy constantly strives to improve herself, improve her skills and spread a sense of responsibility to her colleagues. From a garment worker, she was assigned the task of a workshop staff, then became an important factor of the Fashion Design Department.
Her improvements in sewing techniques, shoulder pressing, fabric belt pressing... have contributed to significantly improving labor productivity. In 2023, she was honored to receive the title of "Golden Hand" in the Textile and Garment Skilled Workers' Competition - a testament to her efforts and talent.
Not only good at her profession, Ms. Thuy is also an exemplary Party member, enthusiastic in building the Party organization at enterprises. She is always ready to support and guide young colleagues, help them practice their skills, raise their political awareness, and gradually become excellent party members.

Mr. To Phuong Nam, a "student" who was once guided by Ms. Thuy, shared: "Ms. Thuy is a very dedicated and enthusiastic person, always ready to help people. When I first started working at the company, I was still confused, she guided me and helped me quickly get used to the job. She also shared with me her life experiences, helping me become much more mature".
From a coffee shop, now, the life of young party member Do Thi Thuy seems to be more expanded, connecting her with many places. "I always regret not joining the Party sooner. However, whether sooner or later, being a party member is a great honor, requiring each person to constantly strive and improve themselves every day," Ms. Thuy shared.
Ms. Thuy's practical actions have been recognized and highly appreciated by her staff and colleagues. Ms. Do Thi Thuy is not only the "Golden Hand" of the Garment industry, but also a shining example of love for the profession, sense of responsibility and desire to contribute continuously.
