After the merger, from July 1 to now, Da Nang City has had 16 new grassroots unions established and nearly 660 union members admitted.

After merging the two Labor Federations of Da Nang and Quang Nam (old), the Da Nang City Labor Federation (new) is making efforts to develop grassroots unions and union members, towards the 2025 goal set by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.

Recently, the Da Nang City Labor Federation established the Vina Mask International Company Limited Trade Union, admitting 52 union members. Previously, Apollo Dai Loc Garment Company Limited also launched a grassroots union. Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - Le Van Dai highly appreciated the coordination between workers and enterprises, affirming the important role of grassroots trade unions in caring for life and maintaining harmonious labor relations.

The Da Nang City Labor Federation is facing many difficulties due to its large area, large number of workers, diverse types of enterprises, and thin union officials.

To overcome this, the Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation has directed the entire system to get involved. Commune, ward and affiliated unions are assigned to take charge of each specific locality, reviewing the room for developing union members and grassroots unions in both Da Nang and the old Quang Nam.

With a large space of about 208,000 workers and the ability to develop union members, the Da Nang City Labor Federation is striving to achieve the target of 51,000 new union members assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
