Dong Nai City Trade Union increases by more than 21,000 union members

Dong Nai City has 2,343 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with 765,148 union members/821,169 workers, the rate of union member gathering in places where there is a trade union organization reached 93.2%.

Trade union activities in the first 6 months of 2026, Dong Nai actually increased by 21,160 union members and 19 grassroots trade unions compared to the end of 2025.

On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the City Labor Federation has coordinated and appraised dossiers to support 65,945 union members and workers in difficult circumstances and 15,000 gifts to support union members and workers in labor accidents, critical illnesses, unemployment, job loss, salary and bonus debts...

Organizing the program "Trade Union Tet Bus - Spring 2026" to support bringing 2,838 union members and workers and their relatives home for Tet. Coordinating with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour to support 450 round-trip train tickets, 130 one-way air tickets to take union members and workers in the city home for Tet; supporting 14,982 shopping vouchers at the online "Trade Union Tet Market 2026" Program.

The grassroots trade union organized the "Trade Union Year-End Meal 2026" program for 72,795 union members and workers to participate, with an amount of nearly 5.6 billion VND. Of which, the source of the grassroots trade union is more than 1.7 billion VND, and the rest is supported by the Board of Directors of the enterprise.

Grassroots trade unions of enterprises with a large number of workers such as Changshin Vietnam Co., Ltd., TKG TaeKwang Vina, Dona Standard, Dona Pacific, Pousung, Hwaseung Vina, Pouchen... have organized cultural programs, gatherings, and gifts for union members and workers on the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026 with an estimated value of about 215 billion VND.

The Legal Consulting Center has provided legal advice and support to 1,338 workers; authorized 64 workers at all levels of the Court to participate in proceedings. Representatives participating in proceedings for 31 workers with the result that all 31 workers won the lawsuit.

At the Conference, representatives of grassroots trade unions also proposed to strengthen training for trade union officials on skills in dialogue, negotiation, and digital transformation.

Representatives of commune and ward trade unions also raised difficulties in staffing, union member development, and establishment of grassroots trade unions.

Speaking to direct at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung, Chairman of Dong Nai City Labor Federation, requested trade union levels to focus on responding and participating in the "Good Labor, High Productivity, Good Income" emulation movement launched by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the emulation movement to implement Resolution No. 05-NQ/TU of the Executive Committee of Dong Nai City Party Committee on launching a special 500-day and night emulation campaign with the theme "Solidarity - Discipline - Efficiency - Breakthrough".

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Dung also proposed strengthening the connection between commune and ward trade unions, grassroots trade unions and the City Labor Federation, joining hands to overcome difficulties, focusing on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions.
