Binh Duong Ward Labor Union focuses on developing union members, caring for workers

The Binh Duong Ward Labor Union (HCMC) has just held its first delegation conference for the 2025-2030 term.

According to the report at the conference, Binh Duong ward was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of Hoa Phu ward, Phu My ward, Phu Tan ward (belonging to Thu Dau Mot city) and Phu Chanh ward (belonging to Tan Uyen city), with a natural area of 58.157 km2, population of 107,576 people.

Binh Duong ward currently has 8 industrial parks and clusters with 1,522 units and enterprises with 80,611 workers and laborers. According to records, recently the situation of workers in the ward has been stable, there have been no large-scale strikes. However, the lives of workers still face many difficulties, especially illegal workers. Some low-income workers are always worried about the situation of high prices affecting the quality of life.

In recent times, Binh Duong Ward Trade Union has organized many notable activities such as: organizing a morning coffee program to discuss with union officials in enterprises in the ward; launching a model of a support group for digital transformation of Binh Duong Ward Trade Union; giving gifts to support union members in difficulty; mobilizing 5 grassroots trade unions to organize "Union Meals".

Binh Duong Ward Labor Union also coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward to launch the " caring park" model, giving 40 gifts and cash worth a total of 54 million VND to union members and workers in difficult circumstances.

In the 2025 - 2030 term, Binh Duong Ward Trade Union sets a target of establishing 20 grassroots trade unions each year, developing 1,000 new union members; striving for at least 95% of workers working in state-owned units, organizations and enterprises to be union members.

In addition, the unit focuses on performing the function of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers, civil servants, and laborers. There are solutions and programs to care for union members and workers facing difficulties, diseases of theorta, serious illnesses, work-related accidents, etc.

On this occasion, the conference announced the personnel decision of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, and Inspection Committee of Binh Duong Ward Trade Union, term I, 2025-2030. In which, Mr. Pham Tuan Tu is the Chairman, Mr. Nguyen Huy Vu is the Vice Chairman of the Binh Duong Ward Trade Union.

On behalf of the Executive Committee of the Binh Duong Ward Trade Union, Mr. Pham Tuan Tu expressed his determination to unite, uphold the sense of responsibility, and strive to successfully complete the tasks of successfully implementing the Resolution of the 1st Binh Duong Ward Trade Union Conference, term 2025 - 2030, making an important contribution to the development of the locality.
