Bao Thang Trade Union expands network, admits 89 new union members

On June 19, Bao Thang Commune Trade Union informed that the unit had just organized a conference to announce the decision to admit union members and launch the grassroots Trade Union of Bao Ha Commune Relic Management and Tourism Development Board, term I, 2026-2030.

At the conference, the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation announced the decision to appoint the Executive Committee, Chairman and Vice Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of the Bao Ha Commune Relic Management and Tourism Development Board, term I, 2026-2030.

Along with that, 89 employees of the unit were officially admitted to the trade union organization, marking the establishment of the grassroots trade union at the Bao Ha Commune Relic and Tourism Development Management Board.

Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem - Chairwoman of the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation - acknowledged the results achieved by Bao Thang Commune Trade Union in developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions in the past time.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Nhiem congratulated the Management Board of Relics and Tourism Development of Bao Ha commune and the Executive Committee of the first grassroots Trade Union, and affirmed that the establishment of the trade union organization is an important milestone, creating conditions for workers to have representative organizations, to be cared for and protect their legitimate and lawful rights and interests.

Leaders of the Provincial Labor Federation proposed that the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union soon develop operating regulations, assign specific tasks, and develop a full-term work program and annual operating plan suitable to the actual conditions of the unit.

In addition, the trade union needs to perform its representative role well, take care of union members' lives, promptly grasp the thoughts and aspirations of workers; promote emulation movements, especially the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement; strengthen the application of digital technology in union member management and innovate operating methods.

According to the Lao Cai Provincial Labor Federation, the establishment of the grassroots Trade Union of the Bao Ha Commune Relic Management and Tourism Development Board contributes to expanding the network of trade union organizations in the area, strengthening the work of representing, caring for and protecting the rights of union members and workers. At the same time, creating motivation to promote emulation movements associated with the tourism and socio-economic development tasks of the locality.
