Innovation of organization, practical care, connecting union members

On December 15, the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union held its 7th Congress, term 2025 - 2030. Attending were Mr. Ngo Duy Hieu - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; Ngo Hoang Ngan - Member of the Government Party Executive Committee, National Assembly Delegate, Party Secretary, Chairman of the Group's Board of Members... and 198 official delegates.

The Congress reviewed the activities of the past term, approved the direction and tasks for the next term.

General goal: "Innovating trade union activities in a professional direction, building a new model of efficiency for workers; promoting the application of digital transformation in all fields of operation and connecting union members; focusing resources on long-term welfare and income for workers; promoting the patriotic emulation movement of mine workers associated with technological innovation, improving labor productivity, contributing to the implementation of the aspiration for sustainable development of the Vietnam National Coal - Mineral Industries Group".

With the action slogan: "Innovate organization, take practical care, connect union members", the Congress approved the target groups implemented by trade unions; the target groups of trade unions participating in coordination.

In particular, strive for 80% of union officials from team leaders and above to be trained and fostered in union skills. 100% of full-time union officials have a university degree or higher and have been trained in Trade Union University.

Every year, over 80% of trade union groups, 85% of departmental trade unions and 85% of grassroots trade unions achieve the title of completing tasks well or better; introducing 900 outstanding union members to the Party for admission and having 700 union members admitted by the Party; 100% of recruited workers admitted to the trade union.

Every year, 100% of sick and hospitalized workers are visited by the union organization. The Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union directly visited 10,000 workers in difficult circumstances...

One of the group of coordinated targets of the trade union is to launch an annual emulation campaign to strive to complete 100% of production and business targets; ensure enough jobs for workers, with an average annual income increase of 4.5% or more. Strive to reduce at least 10% of the number of occupational accidents and the number of people with occupational accidents on average in the period of 2025 - 2025 compared to the period of 2023 - 2025...

The 7th Congress of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Trade Union elected an Executive Committee of 27 people and an Inspection Committee of 7 people. Mr. Le Thanh Xuan was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Coal and Mineral Industries Trade Union.
