Sir, how does the Da Nang City Labor Federation evaluate the special significance of the 1st City Trade Union Congress?

- This is the first time the city has organized a city-level trade union congress according to the new model after the restructuring of the apparatus, so it is especially important. The Congress not only summarizes the recent period but also shapes the thinking and major goals for the workers' movement and trade union activities in the coming period.

This Congress is an opportunity to comprehensively recognize the achieved results, frankly point out limitations, and at the same time identify key goals and breakthrough solutions for trade unions in the context of a strongly fluctuating labor market due to technology, automation and international integration. This will be an important milestone opening a new development stage for the city's trade union.

The political report and the document system are considered the "soul" of the congress. How is the preparation of this content implemented, sir?

We identify that the document must be concise, concise but comprehensive and clearly demonstrate innovative thinking. The draft political report was elaborately drafted, through many rounds of comments with the spirit of democracy, mobilizing the intelligence of union officials at all levels, experts, and officials through the ages, along with the voice of union members - those who directly benefit from union policies.

We pay special attention to the report structure in the direction of close assessment to practice; highlight effective models, good experiences in caring for and protecting workers' rights; at the same time, clearly identify new challenges such as integration, pressure on digital transformation, requirements to improve the quality of trade union activities or changes in labor structure. On that basis, set strategic and feasible goals and solutions suitable to the actual conditions of Da Nang.

Propaganda work is considered to contribute to creating an emulation atmosphere towards the congress. Can you share more about this activity?

- Propaganda is an important piece of work and is deployed early and in depth. The highlight is spreading good models, advanced models, union members overcoming difficulties, as well as grassroots unions innovating methods of operation. They create the " vitality" of the workers' movement and strongly inspire the festival.

The successful completion of the grassroots union congress by 28 commune and ward unions is a very positive signal, creating a clear competitive atmosphere and strengthening union members' confidence in the strong transformation of the union organization. This is also a motivation for us to continue to best complete the preparation for the city-level congress.

What is your biggest expectation for this congress?

- We hope that the congress will open a new development stage for the workers' movement and trade union activities in Da Nang - a period of strong innovation, creativity, towards sustainable development. We believe that with the consensus, belief and expectation of union members, the 1st Congress will create a deep impression, affirming the role, bravery and intelligence of the city's trade union in the process of building Da Nang into a creative, civilized and livable urban area.
