Propaganda closely linked to the needs of workers

In the context of multi-dimensional information and strong development of social networks, if the propaganda work of the Trade Union continues to stop at the hall, documents and slogans will be difficult to come into life.

Realizing that, the Da Nang Trade Union has recently strongly innovated the content and form of propaganda, shifting from speaking to listening to workers to discussing and answering questions with workers, answering questions they are interested in said Mr. Le Van Dai Permanent Vice President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation.

The Party's guidelines and resolutions and the State's laws and policies are conveyed in a way that is closer to life, directly linked to the rights, obligations, job opportunities, income, and labor safety of workers.

In particular, ideological work in the process of arranging, streamlining the apparatus, and merging administrative units has been proactively and promptly implemented. The trade union does not leave communication gaps, does not let cadres and union members fall into a state of confusion, but builds trust, sharing, and consensus in the face of inevitable changes.

An important highlight is the Union's coordination with press, radio and television agencies to build specialized programs for workers. In which the game show "Tan ca vui khoe" has been held since 2024, is a prominent initiative.

Unlike academic competitions, this program has a joyful and approachable color, with questions and games related to labor safety, labor law, life knowledge, and health. For the first time, workers became the "main character" on television, were able to laugh, play, and share their own stories.

On the digital platform, the Da Nang Trade Union has upgraded the electronic information page and fanpage, building them into a fast and flexible information channel. Nearly 2,800 news, articles, videos, and images about union activities and the labor movement have been posted, creating a "lived document warehouse" about workers' lives, helping union members easily access official information in the "sea of information" on social networks.

Bringing information about the workers' dormitory

According to Mr. Le Van Dai, one of the highlights in the past term of the Da Nang Trade Union is the model of "Self-managed workers' group in boarding houses". To date, there have been 75 groups with nearly 15,000 workers participating.

These "Self-managed workers' groups in boarding houses" are not only places to manage order and security, but are a "soft institution" of the union right in the lives of illegal workers.

Here, the Trade Union does not come to workers through formal meetings, but through very specific activities: equipping legal bookcases, placing Lao Dong newspapers, supporting TVs and mobile speakers to broadcast propaganda and art programs; organizing activities, legal consultations, and talking on topics; supporting job connections, supporting when there are disputes and conflicts.

This model is recognized by the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee as one of 16 "Skilled Mass Mobilization" models that need to be replicated" - because it correctly solves the problem: how to make the Trade Union not only present in factories and enterprises, but also go with workers to their accommodation, reaching the lives after work hours.

Along with that, the network of public opinion collaborators at all levels of trade unions was effectively promoted. Through this system, concerns, concerns, and recommendations from workers and laborers, from overtime, wages, shift meals to housing, children's education, etc., are promptly reflected for the Trade Union to advise and propose to the Party Committee, authorities, and employers.

Innovation in propaganda, building a workers culture is not a story of slogan, but a journey of perseverance and creativity, taking advantage of modern communication while sticking close to the grassroots.

From the models that have made their mark in the 2023-2025 term, it is possible to clearly see the image of the Da Nang Trade Union as closer, more flexible and more practical for workers.
