Lam Dong Labor Union aims to increase at least 20,000 union members

Many clear marks in caring for union members and workers

In the period of 2023-2025, Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union will continue to affirm its role as an organization representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members and workers after the merger.

There have been nearly 400 inspections and supervisions related to salary policies, social insurance, health insurance and working conditions at enterprises.

26 commune, ward and special zone trade unions in the province have promptly grasped the thoughts and aspirations of workers at the grassroots level, especially in industrial parks.

Welfare care continues to be a highlight in trade union activities. Through the welfare programs signed with partners, 4,038 union members have benefited with a total value of more than 4 billion VND from essential products and services.

In particular, during the recent flood, trade unions at all levels quickly visited and presented gifts to union members, workers and people affected, contributing to sharing difficulties and stabilizing their lives.

Emulation movements continue to be maintained and spread. Many initiatives have been applied to production and business, bringing efficiency.

The whole province has admitted 30,678 new union members, newly established 188 grassroots unions and trade unions. The rate of enterprises with 25 or more employees establishing trade unions reached 93%, showing that the representative role of trade unions is increasingly affirmed in the enterprise sector.

Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union enters a new phase of operation

Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Phu Hoang - Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Federation of Labor emphasized that the clear mark in the recent term is the contribution to ensuring regimes, policies, improving income and promptly caring for union members and workers in difficulty, promoting initiatives, digital transformation.

"Union members and workers look forward to the congress with faith and expectations. The goals, directions, tasks and solutions in the new term will promote the movement of workers, laborers and trade union activities. Thereby, contributing to building Lam Dong province into a fairly developed province, one of the dynamic growth poles of the region" - Mr. Hoang emphasized.

In the 2025-2030 term, Lam Dong Provincial Trade Union proposed 3 breakthroughs including: Focus on dialogue and collective bargaining on wages; develop union members in non-state enterprises and promote comprehensive digital transformation in trade union activities.

Along with that are 9 key tasks to improve the quality of representation, care for and protect the rights of workers.

In particular, the target of striving to actually increase at least 20,000 union members by the end of the development term is. And there are at least 2,000 initiatives and solutions of union members and workers applied in production, business and work activities.
