On May 19, to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pleiku ward has just coordinated with socio-political organizations of the ward to organize the launching ceremony of "Tet of planting trees, forever remembering Uncle Ho" in 2026 in Op village.

At the launching ceremony, representatives of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Pleiku ward reviewed President Ho Chi Minh's teachings on the meaning and role of the tree planting and afforestation movement; and emphasized the requirement for socio-economic development associated with environmental protection and adaptation to climate change in the current period.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, more than 50 officials, union members, and members of socio-political organizations in Pleiku ward, along with the people of Oop village, launched a campaign to dig holes, dig roots and plant 120 three-leaf pine trees in the Oop village tomb area and adjacent roads. The trees are arranged in accordance with the landscape, in order to create green space highlights for the area.

After completing the planting of trees, Pleiku ward assigned unions and people to be in charge of caring for, watering, and monitoring the growth of trees periodically; at the same time, strengthen propaganda, raise awareness of maintaining environmental sanitation, protecting green trees, and building a bright - green - clean - beautiful landscape in the locality.
