Opening of the Sen Village Festival to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh

Attending the opening ceremony were Comrade Doan Minh Huan - Member of the Politburo, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics; Comrade Le Tien Chau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister; Comrade Nguyen Khac Than - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province; along with former Party and State leaders; leaders of central departments, ministries, branches, Military Region 4, leaders of localities, Nghe An province and a large number of people and tourists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Vice Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee Thai Van Thanh affirmed that the Sen Village Festival has profound political significance, is an important event to celebrate the anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday; and is also a traditional festival for people to sing about Uncle Ho, about the Party, homeland, and country. Through this, the festival contributes to honoring and affirming the strong vitality of cultural values bearing the imprint of the Ho Chi Minh era.

The festival is also an opportunity to express the respect and deep gratitude of all classes of people for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh - National Liberation Hero, outstanding cultural figure, a shining symbol in Vietnamese history and culture.

The 2026 Sen Village Festival is organized with many meaningful activities such as flower offering ceremony, incense offering ceremony and procession of Uncle Ho's photo; "Lighting up Sen Village" night tourism program; exhibition and display activities along with many unique cultural and artistic programs.

The highlight of the opening night was a elaborately staged art program, with the participation and coordination of performances from Ho Chi Minh City, combining tradition and modernity, recreating the life and revolutionary career of President Ho Chi Minh, while honoring the unique cultural values of Nghe An homeland.

On this occasion, Kim Lien Special National Relic Site was honored to be awarded the First-class Labor Medal and recognized as Kim Lien National Tourist Area. This is an important milestone in the journey to affirm the value of the destination, opening a new stage of cultural and tourism development in Uncle Ho's homeland.
