Commune police officer rescues person in distress, receives thank you letter from family

On June 17, Dam Thuy Commune Police (Cao Bang province) said that the unit had just received a thank-you letter from the family of a traffic accident victim, expressing their gratitude for the timely rescue action of Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Dung - an officer of Dam Thuy Commune Police.

According to the letter, at about 7:20 pm on June 8, in the area near Ban Ra market, Dong Tam hamlet - Ban Ra, Dam Thuy commune, a woman driving a motorbike collided with a motorbike parked on the side of the road.

The accident caused the victim to suffer head injuries and faint at the scene.

Discovering the incident while moving through the above area, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Dung quickly approached and performed initial first aid for the victim.

At the same time, he coordinated with people to put the victim on a private car and urgently take him to Chongqing Medical Center for emergency treatment.

Thanks to being taken to a medical facility in time, the victim has passed the critical condition and is currently gradually recovering.

In a letter sent to Dam Thuy Commune Police, the victim's family expressed their deep gratitude to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Viet Dung and the collective of officers and soldiers of the commune police for their sense of responsibility and dedication to supporting people in difficult and disastrous times.
