Building a 250 million VND Friendship Bridge in Can Tho

Attending the groundbreaking ceremony were Ms. Le Thi Suong Mai - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Can Tho City, Chairwoman of the Can Tho City Labor Federation; representatives of units, localities and the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Group.
Tinh Ban bridge is built on a rural traffic route, connecting Rach Chung canal road with provincial road 938. The project is 17m long, 3.2m wide, with a total estimated cost of 250 million VND.
Of which, 170 million VND was mobilized and connected from the Can Tho City Labor Federation, the Professional and Offline Technical Department, the Economic Police Department of Can Tho City Police and the Ho Chi Minh City Friendship Group. The remaining funding is mobilized by the locality through socialization and people contributing working days.
It is expected that the Friendship Bridge will be completed by the end of September 2026.
When put into use, the bridge will serve the travel needs of nearly 200 households in the area, and at the same time contribute to completing the rural transportation system. More convenient connection also creates conditions for people to transport goods, develop production, and gradually improve their lives.
On this occasion, the Can Tho City Labor Federation presented the locality with 10 sets of computers to supplement equipment for work.
The Economic Police Department of Can Tho City Police also coordinated with philanthropists to present 10 gifts to households in difficult circumstances in Tam Soc D hamlet.
